Vol.11, 2014.06.11 "A highly effective mental supplement."
- Makimaki's Instagram is full of striking shots of her calico and tabby-haired cats, who look like twins. The balance between the two cats, the lovely interior, and Makimaki's composition are all wonderful and well worth a look. Lately, I've been curious about the relationship between the two cats and her toy poodle, who appears from time to time. We asked Makimaki what her pet is like.
They are a calico cat named Hana (♀) and a brown cat named Chi (♂), two friendly siblings, and a toy poodle named Maron (♂). Hana and Chi were rescued shortly after they were born and found in a cardboard box in the mountains, and were adopted by a volunteer group.
-What does "my dog" mean to you?
They are extremely effective mental nutrients. Chi and Maron are extremely cuddly, and Hana is the coolest. They are incredibly reliable and important, healing and energizing my family when we're tired or feeling down. My job requires me to travel a lot, and when I'm away I always check my Instagram to refuel. I want to continue bringing lots of happiness to my precious pets.

This is a cat tote bag for shopping. I fell in love at first sight with this cat-face tote bag featuring illustrations by illustrator Audrey Jeanne in a magazine. I bought it at Galerie Doux Dimanche in Jiyugaoka. It's a great bag with plenty of storage space.

This week's foster parent, Makimaki , housewife and office worker
I live a lively life with my husband, my younger brother, and our three pets. I usually work as a graphic designer and campaign director, and earn money to feed my pets.
