Vol.04・2014.04.23 "Things that convey the creator's thoughts"

Yamaguchi has 80 boards on Pinterest, and every day he uploads high-quality photos selected from all over the world. From fashion, animals, flowers, gift wrapping, to mascot characters. Just how far does his wide-ranging antennae extend? We asked Yamaguchi, who knows all the "good things" from all over the world, "What is your pet?"

-Is your "pet" a human, an animal, or a thing?

Things. Accessories made by a friend living in the Netherlands.

-What does "my dog" mean to you?

A cute item that you'll want to wear every day.

Especially the fabrics, buttons, pom-poms, and charms I bought in the Netherlands.
Brooches that freely combine embroidery and stitching,
Each one has its own unique expression.
Just looking at it makes me feel happy, and wearing it makes me even happier! When I'm out and about, people often ask me, "Where did you buy that?"

When I imagine my friend in a faraway country finishing the work by hand,
It feels like the distance between me and her has narrowed considerably.
These are our precious pets who came across the sea.

- Please tell us about your favorite "My Pet" goods.

A friend of mine who lives in Okinawa makes it under the brand name "han★".
A stuffed rabbit named "Rabi-kun."
It's not a useful or practical item,
Just being there makes me feel at ease.

This expression makes it seem like he's thinking about something!
Even though I'm already an adult, I still have a weakness for funny things like this.
This is a rather large amulet for me, born in the Year of the Rabbit.
