Today, we spoke with Tora-san, who lives in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Q: Where do you feel most comfortable?
In my case, it's sitting on my grandfather's cushion.
Grandpa's cushion is electric and warm. And Grandpa is there, so I feel calm. He even pets me sometimes. It's really the best place.
Q. Why do you pretend not to know my name even though I read it?
That's when you want to be left alone. Sorry for ignoring you.
But when I'm in my own world, I don't want anyone to come in.
I'm usually thinking about yakitori. I once had some yakitori and it was so delicious, so I'm often devising strategies to get some again. I'm looking for a chance to get some yakitori...!
Q. Why do I feel more energetic at night?
I don't really know why, but I just get excited and want to run.
I like to run down from the dresser at the far end of the room and climb up to the closet diagonally across. Then I run back to the kitchen from there. No one can stop this urge... Yes...
Q. What's that thing where you lick and then bite?
Ah, I'm sorry about that too. My inner devil came out a little. While licking her arm,
I can't stop thinking, "Oh, I'm so careless, I'm so careless, I wonder what kind of face he'll make if I bite him now, lol." Every time I get a reaction that's bigger than I expected, so it's even more difficult to stop.
I'm truly sorry, but I hope you continue to pet me without giving up.
Q. You're really shy, aren't you?
That is already extreme.
The moment I realize it's a stranger, I dash off as far away as possible.
I feel embarrassed when I'm with someone I don't know, but I can't show myself, so I always have trouble going to the bathroom.
What should I do? Should I go?... When I'm thinking about it, that person suddenly makes a move. That makes me flinch, and I can't always go.
The moment that person leaves, I dash off, as always. If someone is coming, I wish they would let me know in advance.
Q. When do cats punch? I was wondering if there was anything I could do about it...!
That's... when I'm happy, I think. When I feel really happy, I punch. Humans too, when they're really happy, sometimes they shake someone's hand too hard or slap them on the back too hard.
