Fantasy Interview | Ronron vol.1

Apr 20, 2024

Nice to meet you. I'm Sato, the fantasy interviewer.

This may seem sudden, but animals don't usually speak, do they? But what if they could speak? Isn't this what they really think? What would their relationships be like with their companions? This series is an interview series written while I was daydreaming about such things. I would be happy if you could bear with me as I indulge in my delusions for a while. I look forward to your continued support!

--Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. We look forward to working with you.

Wait, is that sarcastic? Please stop (lol). Thank you very much.

--This might be rude to start off with, but don't you hate being seen by others?
Ah, it's true, if you think about it, it's strange. I've been raised by people looking at me since I was born. It was just normal for me. So I never thought it was particularly unpleasant or that people should stop looking. I'm not the only one, so I guess I've just grown up thinking that that's just how it is. To be honest, I've never thought about it like this. It looks like today's interview will be very fruitful.

--I'd be happy if that were to happen. What do you do for meals?
Food? Bamboo. Seriously. You never get tired of bamboo. You can eat it forever. The keepers also give them apples and carrots. They give them to you with a look on their face that says, "Here's a treat! You're happy, aren't you?", so they force themselves to be happy. If that makes the keepers happy, then that's the best thing. It's surprising, isn't it? Pandas are considerate too (laughs). I'd even like to publish a book called "Pandas' Considerateness Techniques." I'm quite serious about this.

-- (bitter smile) I have the impression that you sleep a lot, but how much is it actually?
I guess we sleep 9 to 12 hours a day. I've never seen the sunrise. You feel sleepy in the morning, don't you? We pandas don't resist that physiological reaction. Of course, it varies from person to person, but I have a biased way of thinking, so I think it's stupid to get up early.

--That's biased...
There may be a lot of cynical people among pandas. They want to make things black and white. That's why there are so many of them with extreme views. There was a demonstration recently against "walking on all fours." Well, I'm not interested in that. So it doesn't really matter.

--Hahaha... (to be continued)

So, what did you think of the first episode? I hope it had a big grin on your face!
Next week, we'll delve deeper into his true feelings, including bitter memories with zookeepers and worries about being a professional. Please look forward to it!!

(Everything written here is my own fantasy. None of it is fact, so please be careful not to inadvertently talk about it as trivia!)
